Raph of souldegamusic.com reports that Propellerheads Recycle works well with the Prophet 2000/2002 samplers. Using MIDI Sample Dump Standard (SDS) audio files can easily be transfered to the sampler. Further investigation reveals this will only work on earlier versions of the program as the newer 2.x versions have hardware sampler support removed!

  • Finally, you can download a 10Mb Adobe Acrobat PDF file of the Sequential Prophet 2000 Operation Manual here!

Apparently Joey has a couple of replacement p2k drives available (Sony MP-F53W-00D black face). $20 inc. postage and packing can't be bad.

At last! Discovered a program that can deal with the 12-bit MIDI SDS dumps form the Prophet 2000. After extensove testing I can reveal that AWave Studio 7.0 (from FMJ Software for about 90 USD) is highly recommend for transfering samples too and from a Prophet 2000 over MIDI.

Finally added some stuff into the downloads section here.

Another drive option. David Borman reports that a SONY MT-2 1-623-457-14 ripped from old Sally Army computer worked for him.

Welcome to the Sequential Circuits Prophet 2000 site - p2k. This site is new as of 12/99 - unlike my own p2k. Like most apparently obscure web sites, I have started this one in order to gather recources relating to this aged beast as, surprisingly, I found there is very little already out there.

Trivia! Did you know that the p2k had a staring role in the 80's frat-fest "Revenge of the Nerds"?!
