Hello. This site provides information on the Roland MKS series of MIDI modules. The MKS series of mostly analog synths (a sampler and digital piano sneaked in) were produced in the 1980's by the Roland behemoth. Many of them have become greatly desired items (like all things analog) over the years since their manufacture ceased.

I have created this site as we have amassed a collection of manuals, information & documentation over the years that I know will be usefull to others. It will also piss off the sharks on ebay who charge a fortune for poor photocopies and print-offs of freely downloadable manuals.

Feel free to email with comments, info, etc to here

Big thanks to Ryah Heard for chipping in with the MKS70 service manual and to Dave Bradly for the MKS20 info.

btw the MKS900 has not been included yet as it is MKS in name only and not function.
However, should any documents or pics turn up I might add info at a later date.
Looks like I'll be adding a misc page at some point soon anyway as Aaron turned up a couple of links to what appear to be master keyboards aimed at MKS users: The MKB1000 and MKB200 (thanks Aaron).
There is also a Roland JX / MKS list on egroups.

Site live. Still much scanning to be done, mainly of manuals.
It's all still a bit raw in here but i'll be re-writing sections and adding more info as the site develops.
Appologies if i've stolen pics from anyone but I have yet to photograph my own MKS's (appart from this bad pic).
